As the Champion League reached the knockout stage, Arsenal headed over to Spain to take on Sevilla F.C to secure another three points. Seville with their reputation to put up a fight with any team wasn’t going to be an easy game for the Gunners.
Arsenal didn’t waste any time in the first half scoring the first goal of the match, with a turn and assist coming off Gabriel Jesus to Gabriel Martinelli to putting the ball to the back of the net. The favor was on the Brazilian striker’s side after Jesus fired the second goal with a superb curl to the left top corner. Finishing the game with a 2-1 win for Arsenal.
Gunner's victory over Sergio Ramos Seville wasn't just about the three points. It implies a statement. A loss by Seville wouldn’t be on the good side of Mikel Arteta. Ramos praised Arsenal as one of the best teams in the Champions League. Jesus finished off with 23 goals in 41 appearances with Man City, yet he is looking for a Champion League title with his new clubs as he mentioned “ "It's a competition that I love," he affirmed. "I haven't won it yet, so I am looking for this beautiful trophy. We have to believe." Arsenal still haven’t secured a Champion League, however, the team held their head high.

Jesus left the field in the second half due to a hamstring issue, which raised concern. Mikel Arteta expressed his worry, but the forward was optimistic, downplaying its severity "I did some tests with the physio; it looks not that big of a problem." Arsenal climbed to the top of Group B with 6 points after a win over Seville, the hope now is for the star forward to remain fit and firing. The Gunners are still in the fight for the Champions League title
